Vectis OMS
What exactly is Vectis?
Vectis is an Order Management System (OMS). It sits between your sales channels (Shopify, Amazon, etc.) and your warehouse operations. Orders flow in, Vectis routes them to the right warehouse, tracks fulfillment, and syncs status back to your store.
How is Vectis different from Shopify's built-in order management?
Shopify works great for single-location, single-channel operations. Vectis adds multi-warehouse routing, split shipments, channel aggregation (Amazon, eBay, WooCommerce in one view), and a 17-state order lifecycle with package-level tracking. If you're doing 500+ orders/day or have multiple warehouses, you'll outgrow Shopify admin.
What's "package-first architecture"?
Most OMS systems track order status and packages inherit that status. Vectis flips this: package status drives order status. This means accurate tracking for multi-package orders and split fulfillment. An order is "shipped" when all its packages are shipped, not when someone clicks a button.
What sales channels does Vectis integrate with?
Native integrations: Shopify (OAuth 2.0, webhooks), Amazon (SP-API), eBay (OAuth 2.0), WooCommerce (REST API v3). Plus a REST API for custom integrations with any system.
What shipping carriers are supported?
FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL via EasyPost integration. Rate shopping, label generation (PDF, PNG, ZPL), tracking updates, and address validation included.
How does multi-tenancy work?
Database-per-tenant via Neon serverless PostgreSQL. Complete data isolation — not row-level filtering with tenant columns. Each tenant gets their own database, their own connection, their own data.
How long does implementation take?
Depends on complexity. Simple setups (one warehouse, Shopify integration) can be live in a week. Multi-warehouse with custom integrations: 2-4 weeks. We don't do 6-month implementations.
Is there an API?
70+ public OpenAPI 3.1 documented endpoints. OAuth 2.0 authentication with scoped access. Push orders in, pull inventory out, get webhooks when things change. HMAC-SHA256 signed webhooks, idempotency support.
StoaPack
What is StoaPack?
StoaPack is a 3D bin packing optimization API. You send it items and available boxes, it tells you how to pack them efficiently. Reduces shipping costs by optimizing box selection and item placement.
Is StoaPack part of Vectis?
StoaPack integrates with Vectis but also works standalone. You can use the API from any system. It's live now at stoapack.stoalogistics.com.
What optimization goals does StoaPack support?
Three options: minimize total boxes, minimize wasted volume, or minimize cost (using box pricing you provide). You can also set fill percentage limits for fragile items.
Does StoaPack handle hazardous materials?
Yes. Automatic 49 CFR and IATA DGR compliance with auto-segregation of incompatible materials and packing group rules.
What's the AI packing feature?
Optional AI review of packing solutions with custom instructions. Choose between OpenAI or Google Gemini. Currently in beta.
How much does StoaPack cost?
Starter: $30/mo (1,500 requests, 50 AI reviews). Professional: $100/mo (10,000 requests, 500 AI reviews). Enterprise: $300/mo (50,000 requests, 2,500 AI reviews). 30-day free trial on all plans.
